As most of you know, we like to bake homemade treats for our furry friends. Last week we made Peanut Butter & Oatmeal Dog Treats and this week went over really well with these!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup blueberries
1 small banana
1/2 cup milk
1 cup rolled oats
1 1/4 cup quinoa flour
Preheat oven to 400° F
In a blender (I used a bullet) blend your milk, banana and blueberries. Once blended place in a larger bowl. Add your rolled oats and your flour to the wet ingredients. Mix until it all comes together. If you find it’s too wet you can add more oats, but it is a fairly wet mixture.
Using a couple of spoons drop about 1″ diameter balls onto a baking sheet. (I line mine with parchment paper for easy clean up) Bake in the oven for 16 minutes or until the top of the cookies just start to brown.
These cookies are somewhat soft in center like a stale muffin. Great for older dogs missing teeth, but young dogs love these too!! If you want them harder just leave them in the oven for a few hours (oven off please LOL)
Let cool before storing these healthy treats. ENJOY! Have one with your pooch 🙂
They will keep for a week in a cookie tin, 2 – 3 weeks in the fridge or 2 months in a freezer.
